Privacy Policy
Pikuball is a free online pickleball game for iPhone and Android. This page explains exactly what information the game stores and why. The short version: we store the minimum needed to run the game, we don't run ads or analytics, and we never sell or share your data.
What we store
- Account — the username you choose and your password. The password is stored only as a salted hash; we never see or keep the plain text. We do not collect your real name or phone number, and no email is required to play.
- Email (optional) — if you link a Google account to enter tournaments, we store the verified email address and the Google account identifier that Google supplies. We never see your Google password. Accounts that never link stay email-free.
- Referrals — if you signed up through a friend's invite link, we store which player referred you so they can earn their tournament ticket.
- Character — the appearance choices you make in the Character Studio (body, outfit, colors and similar).
- Gameplay — match results, rating, level and XP, coins, daily streaks and mission progress.
- Guest play — if you play without an account, the same gameplay records are kept under a temporary guest name. They merge into your account if you later register, and are otherwise routinely cleaned up.
- Technical logs — like nearly every online service, our servers keep short-lived request logs (IP address and request metadata) for security, abuse prevention and debugging.
What we don't do
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- No selling, renting or sharing of your data with anyone.
- No purchases — coins and outfits are earned in play and cost no money.
What other players can see
Pikuball is an online game with public rankings. Your username, level, rating and match results are visible to other players on leaderboards and in matches. Your character's appearance is visible to your opponent during play.
Where your data lives
Game data is stored on servers hosted by Fly.io (Singapore region) and is backed up daily. Your device keeps a sign-in token and local preferences in its own storage so you stay logged in.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can have your account and all of its data deleted at any time by emailing hello@pikuball.com from a message that names the account. Deletion removes the account from the live database promptly, and deleted data rotates out of backups within about 30 days.
Children
Pikuball is a general-audience game. It is not directed at children under 13, and we knowingly collect nothing beyond what is listed above. If you believe a child has created an account and you would like it removed, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
